    Avoid flying via WAW / Poland airport or LOT airlines at all costs if you wish to keep your belongings safe in the checked-in baggage! Be aware that according to the airline’s response of their rules, you should basically not put anything in your checked-in luggage. The airport security staff can steal anything as they wish without any consequences. Our checked-in bags were checked by security while transferring there from an inter-continental flight, messed up, all plastic and paper bags ripped open and “valuables” stolen from inside.

    I had a bad experience on board with Lot Polish Airlines company: my hand luggage was moved from where I put in the cabin it without noticing me. When we landed, I asked the stewardess where is my luggage and she was acting like she knew nothing about it. One person said he saw her moving the luggage. I talked to her again, I explained again the situation but she was too busy flirting and joking with the other steward, rather than hear me or help me and then she gave an answer just randomly: that my luggage is in front of the airplane. I went to the front of the airplane, asked the other stewards that were there and they said that maybe my luggage is in the bus. It was not, as I was looking for it in the aircraft. I went to the first stewardess – in the back again and asked, meanwhile my friend started to look in all the compartments again and found the luggage that was intentionally moved by the stewardess. What should I understand from this type of behavior ?

    I had an incredibly unsatisfactory experience flying with LOT airlines. My original flight was delayed, so I contacted the airline to see if the flight could be changed to an earlier time, and instead they changed my flight to the following day because of a clerical error on the part of the person whom I spoke with over the phone. Upon realizing this (when I was turned away at the gate), I called back to get on my original flight, which was delayed from 22:35 until around 2 or 3am the following morning, forcing me to sit and wait at the airport for several hours. My returning flight was supposed to be direct from Rzeszow Jasionka to New York Newark Liberty Intl on 18Nov2018, and the flight was canceled and I received an email stating that my flight was switched to 09Dec2018 which was absolutely unacceptable. I AGAIN had to call and speak with someone who switched my flight without informing me that it was no longer a direct flight and that I would have a layover in Warsaw. Then, the next person I spoke with tried to put me on a flight with a layover in Munich. I wasted an entire day of travel and had unnecessary layovers because the people on your staff are incompetent and do not seem to understand why a direct flight is preferable to one with a layover. I did not receive any sort of compensation for being forced to wait several hours on my way to Poland, nor did I receive any sort of refund or compensation for being forced to take a flight with a layover. I did not even receive an apology from the airline which is the poorest handling of customer service I have ever experienced in my travels. I booked this trip MONTHS in advance to avoid any complications, and all I was served were issues. It is absolutely unacceptable to treat people in such a way and I fully intend on submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

    I had a horrible flight from New York to Warsaw. Asides from being crampt in my seat, my food (which I made a special order for) came frozen. Not to mention, that my TV didn’t work. But all this doesn’t come close to the fact that the one thing I wanted to do which was change my return flight to an earlier date wasn’t allowed without paying 489$ fee. This unprofessionalism coupled with an unwavering failure to even consider waving a travel fee (mind you I wasn’t even allowed to speak to a manager for no reason) has given me the feeling that I will never use LOT again.

    I would like to file a complaint regarding the above subject which caused us STRESS, INCONVINECE & ADDITIONAL EXPENSES!!!!!! Baggage delayed – We reported this immediately to Berlin,Tegel airport on August 18,2018 .Ref # TXLLO 10261.This was not delivered to our Hotel instead , I picked it up from the airport the night before ( August 21, 2018 ) we headed to Prague . Due to this baggage delayed, we bought my wife’s clothes, shoes bag and our toiletries for 3 days and 4 nights in Berlin which cost 150 Euros , Taxi to and from Holiday Inn express Alexanderplatz , Berlin / Tegel ,Berlin Airport which cost 70 Euros (35 Euros one way including tip). Long distance telephone call to your office and Tegel Airport made to follow up for the status plus the stress and inconvenience that caused by this. Damaged Baggage – We also reported this immediately at Berlin Tegel Airport on August 18,2018 .Ref # TXLLO 10262. The top and side part of the luggage was broken and ripped off .We bought plastic clear wrap so, not to exposed the inside of the luggage which cost 20 Euros . This luggage is Black Swiss Gear standard size check in luggage.I bought this for 200 Canadian Dollar .Because of the damages, this luggage cannot be used in our future trip. Flight Cancellation ( 2 times cancelled)-STRESSFULL AND INCONVENIENCE !!!- Our original flight on Sept 02 Budapest to Warsaw, Warsaw to Toronto (LOT airline) was cancelled on August 30 .On August 31 ,your office was rescheduled our flight on Sept 02 Budapest to Vienna ,Vienna to Toronto ( Austrian Airline) . On Sept 02 ,the day of our departure , your office cancelled again our rescheduled flight .This was the very stressful moment because , there was no body to talk with at the Budapest airport regarding our situation no information desk and LOT airline office was close .However , we figured out the situation . We were accepted to fly in KLM Budapest to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Toronto (with less than an hour transfer time).The bad side of this was , we had already an experience connecting flight to Amsterdam for less than an hour and this was happened again . I chose our original flight from LOT airline because, I like the flight schedule specially the transfer time and transfer airport .I am always avoiding Amsterdam as a transfer airport with less than an hour transfer time because of what we had experienced in our previous trips but, we have no choice . We got tired running from our arrival gate to boarding gate and going though passport control catching up our flight from Amsterdam to Toronto and this was not our planned. We wanted to go home RELAX!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS OUR PLANNED !.
