Lion Air

By far the worst experience I have ever had with an airline. Was supposed to fly from lombok to denpasar on their wing air service at 11.45 to catch a connecting flight home to Ireland at 16.05 but the flight was delayed 7 hours and so I ended up missing my connecting flights from Denpasar and had to pay 900 euro for new flights. Not only was the communication from lionair during that time wholly inadequate, there was never any explanation for the delay nor was there any update on when the flight would arrive. Their staff in lombok were incompetent past the point of belief. I spent three hours in their office doing their job for them: finding out whether the plane had left from Denpasar and checking with my connecting airline to see if I could catch a later flight. It honestly seemed like they were all on their first day of the job. There were no protocols in place to deal with the situation and I eventually had to give up with them and pray that Malaysia Airlines would take me on the Denpasar side (it turned out to be too late when we arrived in Denpasar). I am deeply annoyed with the whole experience. Please take heed. Do not fly!! Pay the extra little bit for a reputable service

Beware when booking- make sure to uncheck the insurance. I normally don’t fall for this kinda scam but i was in a hurry. I flew with Lion air before cuz it’s cheap but damn…being a fool for this trap is not cool. I hope it was worth it for them. Money is not much but I will not be using them ever again, thanks

After our 90 minute delay (probably pretty good for Lion Air) we landed on Runway 25 Left in Jakarta which is 3660 metres. It was one of the fastest landings I have experienced and we needed most of the runway to pull up, using the last exit. A Boeing 737 should use about 1600 meters for its landing run. This an airline whose CEO said “we are the worst airline in the world but what choice have you got” With an attitude like that, they do not deserve our custom and that will be the last time for me.

I had read many negative comments about this airline so I was hesitant to fly with them. However when I was in Bangkok, I saw many travellers flyiing with them and decided to give them a try on my next flight. I flew with Thai Lion air from Chiang Mai- Bangkok and then Bangkok-Surat Thani and I was very pleased.

I had booked last minute (2 days in advance) and encountered no difficulty with cancellations or flight time modifications. Check in was a breeze, they were even smiling. Baggage allowance included, 15 kg. Great price! Smooth landing. Friendly greeting upon arrival on board. My husband is very tall and with out asking, we were give emergency aisle seat on both flights for free. Would recommend this airline if you are booking last minute flights while travelling Thailand.

Never fly with lion air… they reschedule your flight without your permission..
I have experienced it for two times… first time when I traveling from KNO to CGK … the second time from CGK to KNO….

Only one word… Never fly with lion air
