Flew Economy
I have used the services of lion and its offshoot carrier Wings a number of times in recent years; always for regional travel in Indonesia. Honestly must say I have never had a problem with either of these airlines; planes are clean; normally on time or within a few minutes; cabin crew efficient; checkin quick and easy. Please dont expect 5 star service from budget carriers!

Worst airline possible. Rude and unprofessional ground staff. Was delayed both to and return flights and staff don’t even know how Long it would be delayed! Initial 1 hour delay became an eventual 4hour delay and caused me to miss the next connecting flight (which was the last flight out of Jakarta) and left me stranded at the airport… Never again for this airline.

Thai Lion Air ground crew are terrible in problem solving and have no sense of accountability. Unless there are no other flights in the world, and desperate to fly, then Thai Lion Air will be your choice.

This airline is never on time. You are guaranteed at least 1 hour delay for any of their domestic Indonesian flight. There have been many incidents where delays up to days and triggering passenger riots in recent months. There have also been many near miss with planes skidding, overshooting, freezing cabins etc. It’s a miracle that nothing more catastrophic has happened yet, but it’s just a matter of when.

Talking about Lion Air, means you are talking about long delays, unprofessional staffs with harsh words, new airplanes with little to no maintenance at all, and airline with no safety measure. Just try Googling it and you can find TONS of negative reviews and bad customer experience. They even have delays up to 3 days without any proper communication and passengers are left to sleep at airport without proper compensation.
