flew from Paris to Edmonton with a 2 yr old and 5 yr old. it was the shortest traveling time available, my 10 hour flight turned into a 24 hour flight
flight delayed causing me to miss my connection flight
long queue to rebook connection flight and ending up booking my 5 year old in a separate aisle and stranded in reykjavic for 1 night
airline booked us in a bad hotel where i had to share 1 bed with my 2 kids, with horrible food, staff didnt know what a duvet/blanket was and had to wait 1 hour for my kids meal
    next day flight delayed again
they gave us 1 infant meal so i asked for another one and they said they have no extras and couldnt come up with a solution on what to give my baby. it was just no.they didnt have food for my baby
    wifi not working
    LOST MY BAGGAGE!
i asked why the flights were delayed and why my baggage got left behind. their answer “we dont know and we are sorry for the inconvenience”
i ask the service counter to rebook my return flight as i had lost a day, the answer i get is “please visit the website and call the number there as we cannot do anything for you now”
    WORST AIRLINE EVER
they didnt help me in anyway to compensate for the inconvenience!

Cost for a flight going from Boston to Munich, and return from Charles De Gaulle to Logan was over $2,000 for two economy seats. Booked three months in advance.

    Where to start?

First flight delayed by greater than an hour. Caused us to miss our connecting flight. Original landing in Munich time: 1:05PM.
Actual: 8:30PM. Furthermore, we were redirected from Reykjavik to Oslo before going to Munich. Our compensation: 16 Euro voucher per person for lunch.

I wrote to customer service two weeks ago and received an automated response. Nothing since.

Now I am standing in line again, and the flight is already delayed one hour, which will cause us to miss our connecting flight home. Lastly, the wait in their check-in line is unbelievable. Over 300 people around the airport in Charles De Gaulle.

Absolutely terrible. Will never fly with again. We had four flights with Icelandair, and all four of them were delayed by more than an hour. I purchased 60$ flights through EasyJet and Alitalia that were more reliable and offered more than Icelandair.

It was an international flight, and not one complimentary snack was offered. Only soda, water, and juice was free. This was a 3+ and 5+ hour flig

I was flying(first-time) Icelandair back home yesterday ” I arrived late at the Airport in Reykjavik/Keflavik as the rental car company was working in slow motion – and I tried to get through baggage-drop / security as fast as possible ( In civilized countries I would have missed my flight). I asked the numerous ground staff of Icelandair – but – very poor English, unwilling to help, complete asocial behavior. Young ladies standing as far away as possible from the baggage label printers as possible (I checked in the day before – just needed to drop my baggage). They were obviously preferring to chat with each other than to help – and gave completely wrong/ no information. So I printed the bag label and was advised to stand in a row which turned out to be the wrong one (I was late, so needed help and support…) After 20 min I asked again the staff to support / help – but they were completely reluctant, called their “supervisor – and a safety guy- I was next in line to the counter to simply drop my luggage but I was not allowed to do so – they forced me to restart and stand in another line with maybe 200 other passengers – (did I say – I simply wanted to drop my bag – a 10 second

iceland air is without a doubt the worst airline i have ever flown with.

despite having reserved seats, we were stand by in both flights of a round trip seattle norway.

staff was incredibly rude, did not make eye contact and told us we were lucky if we got on the plane.

Flying with Icelandair was a very enjoyable experience. (That’s a sentence I never thought I’d hear myself say!)

The inflight entertainment system was actually possible to navigate, though it got a bit finicky on the return flight. And it had Sherlock, so what more can I say?

I also liked the fact that for an international flight, the captain spoke English fluently and without sounding like they were reading it of a card, which is unusual!

The lighting was also very pretty (along the area by the overhead baggage there the lights were imitating an aurora, in a tasteful way!)

The flight attendants were very polite and pleasant. I felt sorry for them at the end of the flight, as when we reached the US(In plenty of time for my connecting flight!) the jet way wouldn’t attach properly. So they were stuck trying to calm a plane full of annoyed passengers, as well as prepare to deplane, and then get us all seated so that they could move us to another gate, and then get us off. They did a brilliant job of this by the way.

Also, they gave out complementary drinks, and the food wasn’t that expensive for an airplane.
