We flew Icelandair from Manchester to Toronto via Reykjavik, in their Saga Class which is a sort of better version of Premier Economy. The flight from Manchester was all on time, but their was an hour delay leaving Reykjavik because of plane refuelling. A bit irritating when they must know the schedules dates and times of flights. However, the service in Saga class was excellent. You can order your meals on line in advance, which we did, and my beef was probably one of the best in flight meals I have had. Really good quality and well presented. The Nordic tapas that my partner had was also very good quality. The wine selection was also very good with drinks on boarding with the meal and lots of refills, as well as fresh bottled water throughout. The cabin staff were attentive and friendly, especially on the flight between Reykjavik and Toronto. The in flight entertainment was good, much better than BA in my view. I would recommend paying that bit extra for the Saga Class especially if it is not an over night flight, as it is not a flat bed, but comfortable for getting a nap.

This bargain fare was not a bargain! Very expensive in-flight meals of very poor quality. Flight attendants were nothing short or surly. Not accountable for a missed connection, that they assigned. Will not travel with them again or recommend them.

Very poor service. Aircraft was not in good condition. Kept being repeatedly delayed. Cargo hold wouldn’t close. No snacks offered. Not informative about expected delays.

Do NOT fly Icelandair. I had to cancel my ticket two months in advance. I paid $1200 and got $30, yes, $30 back. They keep ALL your money and then resell your seat so they can make twice the money.
They do NOT charge you a $200 fee with the remainder put toward future travel like the other airlines do, they take ALL your money.
You could get travel insurance, but there are a LOT of exclusions.
    Do NOT fly Icelandair!
