The worst flight I have ever been on. I will never fly with this airline again! We were not told that food was not included in our flight so were not fed on a 13 hour flight. When we tried to buy food they would only accept euros which I did not have as I only had a layover of a few hours in Germany. They refused to take pounds or Thai baht which was the destination we were heading to. Secondly entertainment was not included and I refused to pay for a poor selection of movies. Worst flight ever.
EDITORS COMMENT: You must have bought the basic fare which includes no extras. I have checked the website and there is information stating the extra costs involved with this fare. It’s a low cost carrier therefore they are allowed to charge for everything on board and it’s why the initial fare is a lot less then the full service carrier also operating on that route.

Never in all my travels have I come across such shocking customer service. Actually I wonder if they actually know what customer service actually is.
My bag was ripped at the end of June. I reported it got the reference number sent in the form with the attachments but they say no not sent in within 7 days even though it took them 8 days to reply.
After many emails and calls I get nowhere and Germanwings say they have no way of contacting the agents acting on their behalf so I cannot get any where only the satisfaction of posting how bad they actually are! worst I’ve ever come across!

After 30 days of zero response or remorse. After 30 international calls and countless email attempts to recover my luggage or compensation nothing…. It’s time for a lawyer.

THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE EVER. Myself and my partner we had a connecting flight from Milan to Glasgow (transfer in Dusseldorf) on the 4th of February 2016 (FLIGHT EW1821). Our flight Milan-Dusseldorf was delayed and thus we missed our connecting flight at Dusseldorf. We were offered an alternative flight to Manchester instead of Glasgow (214 miles away from our original destination). We were guaranteed by the ‘assuring and lovely’ staff at Dusseldorf that we will get a refund from Germanwings for our alternative transportation to our final destination. We paid 150 pounds to get from Manchester airport to Glasgow by train. We were assured that we will be refunded within 2 weeks. After contacting German wings customer service for infinite times during the last 5 months – NO MONEY REFUND RECEIVED. When on the phone, the only information they can give is ‘THE PROCESS does take time’. DO THEY EVEN CHECK THE DETAILS OF THE CUSTOMERS OR THEY JUST AUTOMATICALLY ANSWER TO EVERYTHING THAT IT TAKES TIME WITHOUT EVEN BEING BOTHERED LOOKING INTO THE SITUATION?! IS THIS A CUSTOMER CARE? DON’T TAKE A RISK AND NEVER USE THIS AIRLINE IF YOU HAVE CONNECTING FLIGHT!!!
EDITORS COMMENT: Not sire why they told you two weeks, it’s rarely ever two weeks. Most airline refunds are three months.

This was a good flight on a budget airline – comparable to EasyJet. The flight was on time and the staff were pleasant enough. I brought a carry-on bag, which there was room for (though some who came later weren’t so lucky – but this is not unusual on most airlines). Would fly them again and have book another flight already.
