Flew Garuda to Hong Kong on their A330-200. Everything is just perfect, the cabin crews are very attentive, they made sure that all passengers are well cared for and happy throughout the flight. Food was great -as usual-, the seats are quite comfortable and wide enough to make the trip a comfortable one. Aigner amenity kit provided.

Flew Garuda Indonesia to Hong Kong from Jakarta and back onboard its A330-200. The seats were comfortable, the cabin was well-maintained looked brand new, and clean. The flight attendants was just very helpful and cheerful, they made sure that all passengers are happy, and at least one would be seen walking about the cabin throughout the flight.

Garuda cabin crews were reasonable in providing service to both my wife and I. What we have noticed about the cabin crews, they were much more attentive in servicing Caucasians people on board compared to other ethnic group on the flight. It would take quite a while to request a drink or something else we want to be served to us as we both are not Caucasians. Other people of Asian origin on the flight were having the same problem with us.

Flew return on 330-200 Sydney to Bali in business class. Garuda have really improved over the last 3 years I have been flying them. The service is fantastic and the lie flat bed very comfortable.

Boeing 737 Perth to Denpasar and return. We were impressed. We’d heard that Garuda had made a huge effort to “lift its game”, but were still a little leery of flying with them. However, the plane was reasonably new and very clean, and the touch screen a real bonus. Legroom is restricted, and I’m under 6 feet tall in the old money. I also had a Reclinus Maximus on the flight back to Perth, which did not help in the least!
Food was good and cabin crew were very cheerful and willing to help, even if a little undertrained in some areas. (“Do you have some wine?” “Yes, sir.” “What wine do you have?” “We have both red and white wine, sir.” “Sorry, I meant what type of wine do you have?”
The take-off, landing and flight were uneventful, although the pilot did hold off a l-o-o-o-o-n-g way down the Perth Airport runway, which led to some interesting reverse thrust/braking when we touched down. But I’ve had that with many other airlines, too, so no real complaint.
