Fiji Airways

I have flown many times with fiji airways both as air pacific and fiji. they certainly had some old planes but the service is great. great hospitality and flexible. Nadi airport is certainly not exciting either 🙂 The fares are very reasonable!

After booking our flight through Fiji Airways, and then reading the reviews, I was very worried that we made a mistake. My trip went LAX – SYD -NAN -LAX, and my husband’s went LAX – SYD – NAN -AKL – LAX, all on Fiji Airways. The portion of the trip where we were together went off smoothly, and without a hitch. We flew economy and while the seats were fine for me, my 6″6 husband was cramped. But Fiji Airways was very kind, and when he flew by himself, he was given a bulkhead seat or an exit row. The food was similar to food we have had in economy class on Air New Zealand, so no complaints there. The really impressive part of Fiji’s service was when he showed up for is AKL – NAN – LAX flight. He misread his itinerary, and showed up late to the flight. He was completely panicked, thinking that he would need to spend another night in Auckland. Fiji Airways did something neither of us were expecting – they put him on an Air New Zealand flight, at no additional cost, so he would make his connection. This was really amazing customer service, and went above and beyond what we were expecting. Thank you so much for such amazing customer service. I will always tell people about this, and the next time we go back to Fiji, we will be flying with Fiji Airways.

Terrible company. Horrible food, delayed flights, unprofessional service. Unfriendly staff. Enough said. Do not fly with this company.

We flew 10hrs flight from USA (LAX) to Nadi, Fiji. Food service was mediocre and service was just okay. We travel quite a bit and have experienced better service. Our departure flight was also delayed. Worst part was the returning flight. Flight home was canceled due to maintenance problems and We were rebooked the next flight out the following morning. Had to call in for them to comp hotel stay and was given the cheapest/undesirable hotel next to the airport. Dinner was included in the hotel but it was probably the worst BBQ chicken We’ve had on our entire trip. Will not be flying with Fiji airways again.

After reading all other reviews for Fiji Airways, we were disturbed. Tried in vain to find an alternate return flight home so just had to brace ourselves for an impossible experience. HOWEVER, the flight was in a brand new Airbus with 180 degree reclining seat. We departed on time in spite of a passenger’s luggage having to be offloaded before we could leave. Most attendants were friendly and helpful. At least one couldn’t (or wouldn’t) smile…she was our challenge! Cabin was quiet for 5 full hours of sleep before thoughtless passengers began slamming overhead bins in preparation for breakfast. Landing was perfectly smooth and on time. Had to review Fiji Air just because we worried for nothing.
