    We flew from Brisbane to Nadi and then on to Los Angeles. Out trip over was fine no complaints but on our return we were delayed for 24hours which meant we missed out on 1 day in Fiji on our way home. Although we were given meal vouchers and overnight accomodation it still meant we had to sit around a hotel lobby for about 7 hours doing nothing with 6 small children in tow. When we got to the airport we had a nazi come up and check size and weight of our carry on luggage. She was quite rude and told me and my daughter that we were over by a kilo and would have to take something out. Even when we tried to explain that we had included children’s luggage with ours she didn’t want to listen. It wasn’t until I got angry and told her it was ok for them to delay us for 24 hours but no compensation for 1kg over. She just glared at me and put the tag on my bag and stormed off! I really don’t think I will ever use Fiji Airways again!

    We just flew our first FA flight from LAX to Nadi, Fiji April 21, 2015. The staff at Fiji Airlines was so welcoming and helpful. They assisted us once we figured out our carry ons were too large in finding the cheapest way to go by wrapping our two carry ons together. Worked great and only one fee. They were helpful during the flight as well. On May 4, we arrived at Nadi Airport to fly back to LAX after an awesome dive trip to Solomon’s (also FA flight) and two day stay over in Nadi. We were checking in and my husband started feeling faint. This quickly morphed into violent vomiting, profuse sweating and then he passed out. This went on for 30 mins until the ambulance FA staff called arrived. The FA staff were so caring. They (5) helped lay him on his side and brought ice and towels and even a fan. Even cleaned up after him constantly. They were extremely calm and comforting (I was terrified) and told me that they would put us on another flight free as soon as he was well enough to travel. John, a FA manager, also made arrangements at a nice hotel for us when he was released and locked up three of our bags including dive gear in his office until we were able to fly home.

    Trip – usa to auckland, NZ
    Great value when compared to other airlines for south pacific carrier
    Cons:
    Difficulty communicate with fiji airlines office, lost baggage, cancelled flights, overbooked flights,
    Solution: travel insurance policy can be purchased for less than 100 in most situations

    Although I didn’t experience any of the aforementioned difficulties, I can easily see how this could be the case. The airline appears to be newer with limited resources in both terms of equipment and staff so shortages can and do occur for this operator.

    My flight was on an A330 which was clean but not flashy, service was firm, but polite, the food was however insipid, entertainment options more than adequate on all legs flown.
    Fiji airlines win the day with offering great value for money!

    During the recent school holidays I flew to Fiji on your airline. I have flown with Air Pacific numerous times in the past and always viewed the flights as a great part of my holiday. Not this time!! The flight attendants have always been friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. This was not the case this time. They were not at all friendly or happy as Fijians have always been. The food was awful and couldn’t be eaten. There was only 2 toilets to cater for a full load of people. They ran out of white wine before half of economy was served. This was a very disappointing experience indeed.

    Un forgettable experience
    1. Sydney checking staff very rude and inconsiderate
    2.Travelled down no blanket travelled with water dripping on me 6.30am
    flight I was cold and got sick before my holiday.
    3. No Blanket on the way back .
    The service is very poor but friendly smile is an asset to the airlines
