Our trip back from Fiji, 2 toilets available for 220 passengers, but 2 toilets only available for those 6 on buisness class. Lines of people waiting to use the toilet and then air hostess wants to move the trolley for duty free so people couldn’t get to the toilet. The one programme on the flight Arrow (which u have to have headphones to here) was turned off as parent made complaint about it being unsuitable (it wasn’t) the food was awful and the staff weren’t happy. Really disappointing.

Looking at some negative reviews here I feel compelled to share our experience with Fiji air. Our flight (AKL – NADI) in September 2015 was one of the most memorable flights we’ve had – exceptional service on board – free breakfast (a rarity nowadays) – friendly and funny Aussie captain – and a crew that was willing to go the extra mile. Fiji Air is a budget airline, so you expect the interior of the craft to be not as modern as it could be but that’s what your get when you save money on a flight. We will be flying this airline again soon for sure.

Fly Fiji Airways from LAX to Nadi a couple times a year. Been flying to Fiji since 1993 and can say without a doubt, this is the worst airline imaginable. Back in 93 Quantas used to fly routes there and that was very good. Then Air Pacific took over and it went down in service. Now the Fiji government took it over (Fiji Airways) you have the worst customer service, the least amount of leg room, and the prices have rocketed. Soon as you take off they give you a stale snack and they call that dinner. You cannot eat this food. Make sure you eat before flying.. Breakfast is a single egg muffin with very stale hard bread.. This you can’t eat either. As soon as you take off they throw the stale snack and then pick up the trays.. The Fijians go to sleep after that and won’t answer any call lights.. You have to shake them to wake them up. They are rude. The service reps at the counter only know how to rudely say no to any comments. They were just ranked the worst airline and are the worst being number 100 on the list of top 100. This company fails on every metric that one can measure. They have exclusive routes from LA to Fiji so I suggest fly to Hawaii instead for vacation.

My wife and I had the great misfortune to have booked to fly from Auckland to Fiji on 29th May 2015. The flight booked for 12:55 departure was on time according to the schedule, but halfway through checking in, they closed the gate. Half of the passengers booked on the flight were delayed by 9 hours until the original aircraft had returned. Fiji airways were down 1 plane, due to a n accident two weeks earlier. This massive disruption to the schedule was not advise to passengers – in my view to avoid cancellations and the impact on their profit. This ruined my short break, losing one evening in the resort and meant we arrived at the hotel at 3.30am. When I complained to Fiji Airways, they sat on my complaint for 60 days (their standard response time) and only responded to me when I chased them. They have declined to offer any compensation, hiding behind airline regulations stating saying that it was a safety issue. Totally unacceptable and I will never fly with them again.

This situation went on for several weeks and affected hundreds of passengers. It is clear to me that Fiji Airways put their profits before their customers.
