EVA Air

Great experience on Eva, first trip with them. Excellent attention to passenger needs, great choices for meals, comfortable seats.
Overall will travel with Eva again.

This airline is the best I have ever been on.

We got completely screwed with seat assignments. We bought our tickets 8 months in advance and were not given the option to pick seats online when we booked. Our trip had three legs, one from Washington Dulles to JFK, the second one from JFK to Taipei, and the third one from Taipei to Hanoi. When we checked in in Dulles, the agent at the gate gave us TWO SEATS APART FROM EACH OTHER, both IN THE MIDDLE. This is a 14 hour flight! Of course no one would trade with us because we both have super crappy seats. And the airline would not do anything about it. I was in tears and super disappointed. We will NEVER book with this airline again. The seats were uncomfortable, not too much leg room. The food was fine, nothing that blew anyone away. NEVER AGAIN’

We have flown Heathrow/Bangkok/ Heathrow many times mostly with EVA Air but have also used Thai,B.A. Quantas and Biman ( the worst ever flight we have taken) and EVA Air is by far the best. The 777’s are comfortable, good seat pitch, with excellent entertainment equipment, the food is very good for airline food and the flight crew friendly and efficient and regularly serving drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic and snacks are always available.
Due to unforeseen problems we had to change our return flights and this was efficiently done by EVA’s Bangkok office with the very reasonable surcharge of £25.
EVA Air is definitely our favored airline we just wish they flew to more destinations from the U.K.

Flew Seattle to HK return recently.
Taipei to HK leg was very good. Newer plane, helpful staff, reasonable food, comfortable seats for economy.
Taipei to Seattle leg was one of the worst I have endured on a reputable brand airline.
Old 747-400. Was in a front row seat in the middle. Middle seat never good but as it was front row, the armrests were solid so you are wedged. Made worse by the fact that the seat was so narrow that my legs touched both sides and I am not a big person. There were no personal air vents and the cabin air didn’t circulate to me or the others in my row. Suffocating! The video screen was so small and dark that it was almost unusable. The fold out tray table on my daughter’s seat was bent so it was a balancing act with the tray. The tray table was so close at maximum adjustment that with the limited seat room, it was almost impossible to eat without contortion. The food was very ordinary even for economy.
I was very disappointed as they had such good reviews.
I hate to say it but even Delta was much better!
