Traveled Mumbai to Cape Town and back. Worst customer ever. Mumbai – Capetown The flight had layover at Addis Ababa. On reaching Addis Ababa, we were sent to terminal without any guidance on what is to be done, as Capetown flight was not showing on the terminal schedule monitors. After inquiring we were told that flight ti Cape town had already left and we will have to wait for 24 hours in Addis Ababa. We were transported to a 2 star accommodation. Next day we caught our flight to Cape town. On reaching Capetown, our 1 baggage was missing. After 3 days of follow up, the baggage was finally found and returned Capetown – Mumbai The flight had layover at Addis Ababa. Again on reaching Addis Ababa, we were told that Mumbai flight had left, and we will be sent to New Delhi after 4 hours and from there to Mumbai, totaling a delay of more than 12 hours. On reaching Mumbai, this time the entire baggage were missing. After 2 days of rigorous follow ups, the baggage was found, couriered to my address. Upon checking my bags, i found that all my valuables like watches, perfumes etc were missing. Even after raising the issue at all possible Ethiopian Airlines touch points, no response from the airlines. Really the most stressful travel one can ever take. So if one has had a relaxed life and want some challenges in life, Ethiopian Airlines is the way to go.

I travel through Ethiopian airlines from BOM to TEL AVIV and back. I had 8 hours layover in Addis Ababa, so I was thinking that I have spent 8 hours at the airport but the airlines provided me hotel accommodation at Addis Ababa. A driver picks me at the airport and drops me at hotel and vice versa. When I landed in TEL AVIV, I lost my baggage and I got panicked. But, I would say that their service was good and I got my baggage on the same day after few hours. While travelling back to India again I had a layover of 8 hours at Addis Ababa and this time they provided me Ethiopia tour. The tour guide first took us to a museum and then to an awesome Ethiopian cultural restaurant. We enjoyed the awesome Ethiopian cultural food there. Then there was Ethiopian music and dance show which was way beyond my expectation. I danced a lot there with them. I just loved to be there. So, in short, I would recommend Ethiopian Airline to everyone. Don’t afraid if there is 8 or 9 hours layover, you will enjoy it completely.

Airline itself is comfortable. Customer service is simply awful. Pray that everything is fine if you ever fly. Luggage was damaged and I am now going on NINE MONTHS trying to get compensation for my baggage. They blame you for not filing, though it was their staff that “disappeared” and refused to file at the DC airport, then after months of trying to resolve, have to file a claim and then tell you they are “adjusting” the amount. Don’t fly this airline — ever. If you have any issue, you should pray you can get it resolved as they simply couldn’t care less about the customers they are serving.

It was an awesome experience flying on your airway from Lagos to Cape town on the 25 March 2017.
As a blind passenger traveling alone, I received a special treatment and guidance from bording to finish and the safety of my luggage was guaranteed.
The friendliness of the air Hostess was overwhelming, as I still remember the tiny female voice asking me time to time if there was anything I needed and that meant a lot to me, Hana Bayleyegne was her name. I had a variety of choices to make during meals.
At every interval when our flight connected, I never felt lost because there was always this person who led me to the next flight with a pleasant welcome and conversation, that seemed more like a tourist guide.
The take offs and landing were as smooth as I have never experienced and this compelled me to ensure that I shouted out to the Pilot on my exit, saying “thank you”.
I will be traveling back to Lagos on the 9 December and I hope to be treated as such again. Thanks

Airplane itself was mediocre. Looked nice but many things didn’t work like the window tint or the headphones (always only one ear piece would work). They do feed you pretty often which is kinda nice but food quality is as typical of any airplane.
