The worst airline experience I have ever had. No customer service whatsoever, DO NOT FLY WITH CONDOR!!!

Condor often involuntarily downgrades passengers cabin class from Business to Coach. In that case Condor must refund you 75% of your total cost. Per European Commission Regulation No. 261/2004; Article 10 (C).
Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004 established common rules on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of denied boarding and of cancellation or long delay of flights, and down grading of cabin class. Under Article 10 (C), we are due a 75% refund of the full purchase price of our tickets:

There is no statute of limitations on this regulation and the law applies to all European carriers regardless of the location of the origin airport so long as some portion of the flight was in the European Union.
Condor should be quite familiar with this regulation as they have been successfully sued under it before (e.g. Sturgeon V Condor)

We had a flight from Recife – Frankfurt that got delayed for 29 hours due to “technical problems”, then we were put in the oldest plane they got, with no entertainment system, usb ports or anything which is unnaceptable for a long haul flight. And of course, when we got to our final destination, they had lost our luggages and couldn’t care less about it. Almost impossible to talk to any customer service, and when you do, they say there’s nothing they can do.
It’s cheaper than most flight companies but not worth the stress.

Second time we had to fly by Condor from Costa Rica to Frankfurt via Santa Domingo. There was no other choice because of necessity of US transit visas for flights via USA, that we did not get . While the prices are getting higher up to 1000 euro for 2 person one way, there is a very bad customer service. I contacted Condor beforehand via email for Costa Rican $29 for 1 person airport exit tax and had got the answear “We kindly inform you that all the airport taxes and fees are included in the ticket price”. In airport it was 1 hour usual flight delay, and Condor representative insisted us to pay the exit tax extra. Poor service onboard, plastic meal as well for ordinary ticket. Our neighbour lady passenger sitting next to us, had ordered special menu for extra price, so she had problems to get it. Do not chase Condor if U have other opportunity- that is my advice.

I was not satisfied with condor at all. We flew to and from Alaska and i was disappointed by their rules and services.
Meals – both times the same pasta with ketchup and cheese, only one choice and bad complimentary food, you have to pay for beer and wine
Entertainment – you have to pay 8 eur to get some movies and tv series, sorry but when I pay more than thousand euro for the ticket it is crappy to ask me for movie payment, in my opinion is better to put it into the ticket price
Seats – so – so
So for me, luckily not any big problem, but next time i will prefer other company, because for the long flights was condor the worst one I experienced.
