    My husband and I just flew Cathay Pacific economy return to Europe via Hong Kong for our honeymoon. It was important for me to leave a review as I read soo many bad ones for quite a few airlines while I was doing my research. I’ve now come to realise that most people who leave reviews are doing so because of a problem, so it doesn’t indicate the overall satisfaction.

    With our four flights with Cathay, the only issue we encountered was a one hour, twenty minute delay out of Amsterdam which was not at all the airlines fault anyway. The leg room was great (we are 5’9 and 6’3 so this is important), the food was fantastic, service was mostly good (with the exception of one or two sour hostesses) and price was amazing. We will happily fly Cathay Pacific again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

    This airline leaves a lot to be desired,, boarding was a joke and so disorganised, hopeless, I could not pick my seat which I was told I could, but had to wait till I checked in online 48 hours prior to departure, so not much of a choice to choose from seats were definitely too small for a long haul flight Hong Kong to Sydney,,, Jetstar Australia have better seats on their cheap internal flights, meals were sub-standard, the service wasn’t too bad but still not what I am used to, so all in all not a good airline to fly with, I have to use my return ticket as there is no refund, (but most airlines are the same) if I could get a refund I would cancel and fly with someone else,, but I will never fly with them again,, ever no way they would have to do a lot more to impress me.

    EDITORS COMMENT: Heaps of airlines don’t let you check in more than 48 or even 24 hours before – this is more common than not unless you are paying to reserve a seat.

    Flew from Hong Kong to Manila on a Boeing 777-300. Thought Cathay pacific was a full service airline. Apparently not. Dreadful inflight entertainment. Seat was called business but it was actually just a premium economy seat.

    This was actually my very flight and I was pretty pleased with everything. Before flying I read one particular review on this site stating that there’s a great amount of legroom [even in economy class] on Cathay’s planes and they were right. Although I would add that there’s even greater room on the wings.

    The cabin crew gave a pretty good service, the food was satisfying and the in flight entertainment was excellent. If I had the opportunity to fly with them again I would take it.

    This is our 4th trip using Cathay Pacific. Last year coming back from Clark Philippines with Dragon Air to Honkong, 15 minutes before the departure sched we arrived in Hongkong but the personnel talked to us that Cathay Pacific heading to Vancouver couldn’t wait us. We still see the plane. They put us in the hotel overnight.
    Last April 4 2016. We still took the Cathay Pacific. We left from Vancouver late and ofcourse when we arrived in Hongkong, We are so dissapointed again because again the Cathay Pacific personnel explained to us that the Dragon Air heading to Clark Philippines can not wait us. We still have atleast 15 minutes. Our ticket was being print out already. And they put us in another flight, but this time its bound to Manila. We have no choice. So we take the offer. We arrived in Manila @ 4:30 pm, expecting thier bus take us home in Clark right away. But we stuck at the airport for 3 hours.
    We were very sick during the trip heading to Clark because of the long trip. We arrived at home @ 12: 00 am instead of oringinal time 9:50 am. Every year we go home to Philippines and we travel other country too. We don’t know if we still taking Cathay Pacific.
