Worst flight experience. Bad customer service in the plane, horrible food, lack of empathy by the staff. No information when the flight was delays, re-routed. We missed our connecting flight out of Hong Kong because the flight made an un-scheduled stop in South Korea and the staff acted as if we missed the flight because we were late. WILL NEVER FLY Cathay Pacific again!

My husband and I had food poisoning on a recent flight from HK to Sydney. Vomiting and diarrhoea for most of the 8 hour flight. Horrendous. We believe it was from the ‘hot’ breakfast on the first long flight from Manchester to HK. We only had 1 1/2 hour transfer at HK airport and we did not eat or drink there. On advising flight crew as we disembarked (hard not too as I vomited in bathroom as plane was taxiing to gate) they were sorry to hear it but made no report or follow up. On getting home from the airport my husband then spent 2 full days in bed, and I spent 24 hours.
We contacted customer services and provided completed forms, as requested. We received acknowledgement of the forms (2 weeks after the flight) and were advised that the forms would be sent to the catering team and we would hear back. 5 weeks on from the flight and we are still waiting for feedback.
We had expected that with a food issue there would be prompt action. Wrong. Our first time with Cathay – we had expected it to be a quality experience. Extremely disappointed and will not be travelling with this airline again. Much prefer some of the other major airlines in every aspect.

I flew on Aug 22nd, 2016: Bangalore -> Hong Kong -> Manila and return on Sept 3rd.
The in-flight food in all flights was minimal, enough maybe to satisfy a child.
Flight from HK to BLR began 9 PM however till 10:45 PM, we were neither served any food or drinks. Even water had to be requested by using the crew calling button. Multiple requests for liquor even beer went unheeded. The air hostesses looked tired and short staffed. After a while, we didn’t bother asking for anything. There was no point.

Flew Business
Flew from HK to CDG on business class. The seat was comfortable and the service was excellent. The only downside was the poor selection and quality of their in flight meals.
