    First off, I’m not one for airing dirty laundry. In today’s age of social media it’s all too easy to shoot from the hip when wounds are still raw. I’ll state now I’ve emailed twice, used social media and filled in the email form and have left it a fair amount of time and have had no response from CP. This in itself is shocking.

    Secondly, I travel for work quite a bit. This is not boasting, I’m just illustrating that my opinions are formed from experience, not just a one off. Flying is a pain in the backside but a necessary evil and most of the time everything is made bearable by hardworking staff who get little credit for the job they do.

    Over the last six months I’ve done several trips from LHR to HKG. Company policy has changed and my airline has switched from BA to CP. No dramas. However, my first flight from LHR to HKG which is supposed to be 11 hours took 33 hours. Some things were beyond the control of the crew (passenger heart attack for example) but the at first apathetic behaviour, then the inept management lead to a catalogue of errors. When re-routed to Schiphol I spoke to one of the medics attending the sick passenger and they were so frustrated they actuall

    Cathay Pacific service is terrible! Where do I start! We flew from Perth to Hong Kong to New York. Service prior to ever boarding poor we had our flight cancelled and we were not even contacted, food was inedible, toilets leaked water when flushing and one toilet out of three in the back of the plane became completely unusable on such a long flight not okay on any level. Urine on the floor of the toilet that was pooling on the floor that had to use – two that were left open. Absolutely disgusting and unhygienic, other toilets that could be used were bearly cleaned throughout the flights.Then flying home I have tried all afternoon been on hold to ask for help with flight check in home and can not get any help which I need. Please take it from me don’t fly with Cathay Pacific.

    About to board flight from lax to hong kong. Lady at gate says my tv won’t work and they wont fix it . They dont have any other aisle seat to offer. Ha! So they wont try to reseat or apologize or compensate???? Its a long flight and the price of ticket includes in flight entertainment ! Very disappointed !

    Went from PER-HKG-YVR and from SFO-HKG-PER. There were some delicious meals and some terrible meals, seats were extremely comfortable, friendly cabin crew, good entertainment but there wasn’t so much movies. Cathay Pacific also had a cup holder and a coat hook which I really enjoyed having. A good airline with good quality. I don’t like the fact that there always late though.

    Overall, Premium Economy is not worth the extra money on Cathay, neither is the seat much better than in economy nor can you expect any better service. They ran out of prem econ food options and simply served economy food without apology. Most importantly, they re-booked me on a 6 hour later night flight from Hong Kong to Singapore due to late arrival of the aircraft in Hong Kong from Vancouver, although there was sufficient time to get to the connecting flight. The explanation was simply that it would have been difficult to load the baggage. This airline is unreliable for connecting flights and they don’t care about the passenger. The only compensation offered for the 6 hour delay was a USD 9 food voucher. Overall, worst air travel experience ever.
