    At check-in the brussels airlines staff insisted that 2 kg overweight is unacceptable despite the fact that I am a miles & more gold card holder. Forced me to open my suitcase and take out some things. Even ryanair service is better. They have no idea about customer orientation, typical lousy belgian service standard. Flight had more than 1 hour delay, no explanation. have a look on their facebook site. hundreds or thousands of complaints.

    IT feels more like a low cost carrier than a proud member of Star Alliance
    But the main reason why i would never use Brussels Airlines – is their hub Brussels – an AirPort to be avoided – seems unorganized and IF you a smoker than you have to do some very long Walking to find the smoking room
    The Star Alliance Lounge though is ok

    We travelled from Stockholm to Lisbon through Brussels and back. The departure time was not kept with the planes to Brussels in both directions. We managed to catch the connection towards Lisbon but our baggage did not. They lost our baggage and did not find it for a day. On the way back we missed the connection and had to wait two more hours to get home. There was very little compensation for our lost time and I did not feel that the Airline cared about our experience. We were upset.

    Was scheduled to fly on Brussels Airlines from Marrakesh-Brussels-Paris but, due to Brussels airport attack, my flight was canceled. However, I did not receive any notification from Brussels Airlines and only found out when I tried to check-in at the Marrakesh airport nor was I booked on an alternative flight. After a lot of back-and-forth with airport personnel, I was eventually flown to Liege, arriving at midnight, and left there to figure out how to get home on my own. Have tried contacting Brussels Airlines several times both when I found out my return flight was canceled and after for an explanation and to try getting reimbursed for my out-of-pocket costs incurred getting myself home but never heard from them. I have no intention of ever flying with Brussels Airlines and highly caution other flyers from doing so.

    Really bad experience with Brussels Airlines. Flight cancelled with only 24h notice, customer service call center impossible to reach. Really unfriendly and impolite staff at the airport. Definetelly a bad option.
