Flew Economy
In the past I took Bangkok Air from Bangkok to Sukhothai, and from Chiangmai to Bangkok. The provides lounges in Bangkok and Chiangmai even for coach class customers. At Sukothai the airport personnal saluted to passenger upon arrival. I traveled a lot, but never seen any other airlines provided any ground service and respect Bangkok Air.

I have traveled with the airline before, and was Ok.
However, now I recommended it to a friend. And she bought a ticket.
During her trip, she lost all her documentation, her phone was down and her laptop had run out of battery.
I needed to contact her to give her vital information, I called each and every number these people have and they kept giving me more and more people to call.
Finally, somebody gave me the telephone of the gate where my friend’s flight was departing.
A very nasty lady answered my phone and told me that she was very busy and could not deal with that at the moment and informed me that I should call a supervisor.
So, I asked her, can you give me the number of your supervisor.
She absolutely refused and hung up the phone.

Flew Economy
Flew from Bangkok to Luang Prabang in an ATR 72. Embarking/disembarking only via aft door. First in, last out. So our suitcase under the a/c to be loaded. Seats have very little legroom: if person in front of you reclines, it’s impossible to put your traytable down. Inflight service ok. Upon arrival 7 suitcases (including ours) were missing: Offloaded again in Bangkok, due to take off weight/weight and balance problems. Offloaded at random. Suitcase arrived 24 hrs later on Laos Airlines. No info, no excuses. My advise is: Avoid Bangkok Airways and choose Laos Airlines.

I flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. this is a good airline. I particularly like the fact they have a free Lounge for passengers.

Flew Economy
I have flown Bangkok Airways many times now, so enrolled in their frequent flyer program (free). Their lounges are available to all passengers, offering snacks, non alcoholic drinks and wi fi.
My normal legs are from Suvarnabuhmi (BKK) to Phuket (HKT) and return on the Airbus A319, but have also flown on the ATR-42 to Koh Samui.
I book a fruit meal online, and always find the inflight service attentive and courteous.
I flew similar legs last year (2012) with the new Thai Airways regional airline Smile, but I think Bangkok Air is preferable.
About to book again for September, I have always found them professional from online booking, airport check in, lounge, the flight, and baggage retrieval.
