    Worst service ever. They cancelled my flight, by intern reasons they didnt want to supply alimentation and transportantion, the remition of my fligh was with another company SKY a lower category, bad service, rude atittude. NEVER AGAIN

    Travelled with Avianca before, between Lima to London (via Bogota). They were ok and we enjoyed the generous 2x23kg bagguage allowance per passenger.
    But if there is any problem – your stuffed !!! All customer service calls go to a call centre in El Salvador. There is NO WAY to deal with anywhere else regarding bookings.
    Our situation: (£1730 ticket) I’m in London. My wife and 4 year old daughter were returning to London from Lima, Peru. Peru Immigration refused then access to the plane as my wife didnt have a legal letter from me , authorising her to take our daughter out of Peru . We had never heard of this before (I bought the ticket, and Peru immigration had record of me leaving peru for london months earlier). So my wife wasnt stealing our daughter from me in peru. but thats by the by, our fault for not knowing.
    Avianca- we tried changing the date to leave with the call centre. they wanted £648 extra. Breakdown of charges made no sense.”uk airport taxes not paid, that part was £238 ?? Said i’d consult wife. Next day i called now £973:30 extra. They have notes on me so I’m not getting anywhere. each time i call, dIfferent price. My onlineagent is powerless. Problems !!!

    The worst, the worst, the worst. My mum has a disability with her joins and muscle, she can carry anything. She ask Avian for help with her cabin bag and they didn’t help her, they said if can carry you have to sent it in cargo, well she though ok i sent it in cargo, but 1 think she didn’t know is that they charge her for extra luggage.

    I had two short flights of 2.5 hours, back to back, with Avianca. I was served a complete meal on both flights while in economy class. Alcohol was free. Service was very good.

    Avianca has a newer fleet of planes. We took the flight from Lima to Bogota on to Cartagena. At check in to the airline, we were told to pick up our bags in Bogota. We proceeded and entered the flight and was greeted professionally by the staff. Our flight from Lima to Bogota was not good due to a passenger next to us. We approached a steward about the issue who was rude and ignored our concern. When served a meal we inquired about ingredients due to an allergy. No one was aware of the ingredients though they made an effort to accommodate. Upon arrival at Bogota we waited for 40 minutes for our bags. During that time we spoke to 8 Avianca staff that where there to assist. All indicated that we needed to pick up our bags before our connection. Our next flight departed and we approached the customer service counter for the 3rd time about our bags and where finally advised that we did not have to pick up our bags. We missed our flight and after complaining was put on the next flight 3 hours later. We had to file a claim and they would not give an email and instead insisted we tweet it to them. I wrote an email with the info required screen shot it and tweeted it. No customer service
