Austrian Airlines

Booked the flight through Brussels Airlines and ended up being carried from Bristolon BMI and from Brussels to Vienna on Austrian Air. The Austrian plane was also marked Lufthansa Had to watch the flight numbers which did not tumble on the departure board as you would expect I have been told a few stories about baggage handlers and witnessed first hand as my bag was loaded first. From the trolley train to another platform and then on to the plane. I think the baggage handler was in a competition on who could throw bags the highest. Prams were tossed high in the air. Not a pretty sight

Absolutely Terrible, Late, missed my connecting flight with them, had to wait 8 hours, no food, no sympathy, no compensation what so ever. In an effort to avoid refunding my ticket only complaints department is contactable via email which is suspicious in itself.

The reason I am writing is to point out to your attention that in many aspects the experience of flying with Austrian after many years is overall OK. Not better but not worse than most european companies. I only want to say That the snack served was unacceptable, and even worse when my husband asked for another pack the answer of the stewardess was that we will see if there are any left at the end. Of course we never got a second one. We would not mind paying two more euros per flight and have another small bisquit. Sorry but this is a stupidly stingy way to cut down costs!!!!

April 2016 traveled MAN-Vienna and back like first flight with Austrian. Felt really comfortable on board. No disturbing at all. Food was a bit poor… one salted biscuit pack? Really? But long story short. After couple flights with lowcost I decided for austrian. Attentive staff, good service, comfy seats… all what you need on intereuropian flight.

I flew several times in 2016 from Innsbruck to Berlin, with stopover in Frankfurt, and the stretch INN-FRA was provided by Austrian. They always use a very very small propeller plane with tiny space inside and despite my hand luggage size was always approved on check in, they carried it always in the luggage van, not in the cabin, and you have to recover if afterwards on the plane foothills on landing; when it rains ( and it happens quite often) and you have to wait a couple of minutes on the airstrip, is not pleasant.
