    NEVER, EVER, FLY THIS AIRLINE. On June 7th I had an 11:00 a.m. flight that was cancelled for “technical difficulties”. American then put us on a flight at 7:45 p.m., which meant I would miss the first night of a 2 day meeting I was headed to. After a day waiting at the airport I got on a plane, which had malfunctioning nose gear, forcing it back to the terminal. After being told it had been repaired, we left only for it to malfunction again. The flight was then cancelled. Between parking and hotel fees I lost over $300, not to mention lost PTO and just a general loss of my day. American offered me nothing for this. When I wrote to complain they gave me 7500 frequent flyer miles, which is fairly insulting. To make it worse, a friend flying to the same meeting was given 10,000 miles. When I wrote to ask why they said that complaints were handled on an individual basis and they wouldn’t match the 10,000 my friend received.
    Bottom line, American Airlines has terrible service and if they screw you, your only recourse is to say “Thank you sir may I have another!”

    My family of 5 flew to across the country to Hawaii. To begin out vacation, we sat on the tarmac for just under 3 hours. Trying to get home, after a red eye coming back, we were delayed in the Dallas airport for several hours because the plane we were supposed to get on wasn’t here. I don’t believe I will be flying American again anytime soon.

    The lack of service or genuine care from American Airlines is ridiculous. 1) they never have enough people to assist passengers in rebooking (the one lady was too busy talking and laughing with a friend), 2) American Airlines had cancelled yet another flight so all their flights to LAX were full and standby was packed, and 3) when I told the customer service agent my issue she rolled her eyes and repeated what she had just said in a demeaning tone as if I was a child.
    The icing on the cake was when I asked where to go to receive a travel voucher for the two delayed/cancelled flights and the inconvenience of having to arrive at my destination 12 hours later…they looked at me as if I was crazy. I calmly explained that other airlines at least try to compensate you for the inconvenience.
    Instead they gave me a number to call (wrong number) and that lady said I would have to request compensation through their website after my trip. Of course the likelihood of receiving anything from the incompetent airline post travel will be next to nothing!

    Re: flight 1895 on 5/31/19, Charlotte to Las Vegas. A black flight attendant was extremely rude, refusing to answer questions re: my carry-on & refusing me free snacks. She overheard me asking another flight attendant for her name.

    I was in line for the bathroom and she came up from behind and bumped into me instead of asking to let her pass. I was speaking to another attendant and this black flight attendant interrupted, complaining of my asking for her name earlier. I told her she was rude. She shouted “You’re done! You’re done!” When I told her to stop shouting, she yelled: “You stop talking to me.” Then she violently shoved her fingers into my face repeatedly“. When I told her to stop shoving her fingers, she said “You’re non-compliant & I’m taking you off the plane.” The 3 other flight attendants didn’t stop her. I told her there are many witnesses to her behavior and she suddenly stopped fingering me and yelling. This employee’s power trip to assault, harass & threaten me was in retaliation. I didn’t have my cell but another passenger photographed her.
