Booked a flight that kept coming up null decline (on their website) so changed date to the following day. The second transaction went through surprise surprise so did the original date that had said it was null and declined. They have now told me the only refund is the airport tax. They have been unhelpful every time I have tried to explain my situation especially because null and decline came up on their web site not my credit card. All I asked was my rightful refund and all they are prepared refund is the airport tax. I since found out Air Asia are in the top 3 most complained about company with Fair Trading. Buyers beware if you inadvertently make a mistake there will be no refund and if there is they make it as difficult as possible.

Hysterical flight. My partner likes to pinch pennies and urged me to book Air Asia X as flight costs were low. I researched and understood that they’re a low cost airline so I prepuchased meals, blankets & drinks and paid for hotseats also upgrading to “Premium Flex”. (Used thier option-town to try to get upgrades – spoiler alert – we didn’t get them).

Well…. what fricken nightmare. Got stuck in row 14 which has a bulkhead forcing me to sit sideways for most of the 9 hour flight. Seats were TINY (and I am NOT a fattie!).

The premium flex is a joke – only place we got “additionals” was the premium flex queue to book in via AKL. The rest of the stops KUL,OOL PNH didn’t have it?! We werent the only angry people who got ripped off for Prem Flex (aka Inferior Rigid)
That was $128 USD x 4 blown (DON’T waste $$!!). The bright yellow express baggage label did nothing except make our baggage come last.

The food was awful and the space was rediculously tiny. I guess if you are intent on saving $$ and can pretzel for 9 hours, Ok with NOT receiving what you paid for…. then this is the airline for you!

Otherwise save yourself headaches – take your hard earned $$ and go elsewhere!!

    Love AirAsia
    Great prices
    Good food
Order what you want when you want not like on full cost airlines
I find them great value for money as I book well in advance
I haven’t had any difficulty with missing check in as I check in on line when I can and allow ample room for error in my timing for those occasions when I can’t
I plan my luggage allowance and haven’t been ‘stung ‘ for extra
Seats are always comfy in both economy and premium

I recently missed my flight because Air Asia could not contact me on my email. Google had blocked me on my email because I was accessing my account from a different country. The assistant was really nice and went to talk to her supervisor. They apologised for my inconvenience and booked me on the next flight. I had a flight going out of Mactan to KL. I pleasant experience. Very nice very reasonable. No extra costs. Maybe Air Asia are listening to the bad reports as expressed here. So I would like to document a positive
