After the way Air Asia has treated and robbed us, I will NEVER EVER fly Air Asia. I will be using Facebook and all other means I can to tell people how bad Air Asia is.

On 1 May I booked flights for myself and my wife Singapore to Miri on Friday 14 June and Miri to Singapore Monday 24 June.
Because I have to undergo urgent medical tests I have to change the dates of our flights but repeated attempts to change the flights on your website have failed. I have tried several times a day for the past week without success. Every time I try, either I cannot access my bookings or I get the following message after just two seconds:

I tried phoning the phone number given on their website and going on their chat line but each time I was been placed in queue and have not had a response after waiting for over one hour. I also sent them two email messages via Facebook and lodged two e-forms via their website, but after a week I have not had the courtesy of a reply.

Flew from Gold Coast Australia to Kuala Lumpa. Plane left on time, seats were reasonably comfortable a bit short on leg room. I can’t understand every saying there is no in flight entertainment, for an extra $10 AUD the screen in the back of the seat in front worked fine. A variety of movies and TV shows were available with music on other channels. The staff, as suggested by another reviewer, were NOT dressed in denim jeans, they all wore quite smart uniforms and were very attentive. This is a low cost carrier which means any extras you require – you pay for, if you’re not prepared to pay, don’t complain. The food was well presented compared to some other LCC’s I have flown with. It was Malaysian cuisine not western cuisine, then again it is a Malaysian airline, let’s be reasonable. Overall experience was pleasant I would fly with them again, no brainer. Next time I will upgrade to fly buisness class, still cheaper than the major carriers and it looked quite comfortable as I walked through it when we disembarked at KL.

I have so far had good experiences with the few AA flights. In December 2012, I flew a combination of MH, AA and Garuda. I haven’t tried the food onboard yet, but they sound and smell good. The online systems work well.

Air Asia A320 AK6569 Sibu to Kuching,
I recently flew Air Asia from Sibu to Kuching in East Malaysia (Borneo). I’m not a regular Air Asia flyer as I travel on business. Nevertheless I was pleasantly surprised. The AirAsia self check in facility was easy to use and it was easy to then just drop the bags off. I wasn’t sure about all the “extras” you have to pay for but I paid for the extra bag allowance and for priority seating. I was a bit worried when I got to the departure lounge to see a 50m queue of people. I figured I’d just blown my dough but was surprised when the hostess checked my ticket and walked me to the front of the line to the airbridge where a small queue had formed for the priority seating. Excellent! The flight itself left on time, the seats were all black which was a bit confronting initially but they were very comfortable. The staff do appear to be very young and inexperienced which would be worrying if there were any issues on the flight such as unruly passengers. Upon arrival it was raining so each departing passenger was given an AirAsia umbrella as they walked across the tarmac to the arrival hall. A nice touch and a very satisfying flight.
