We flew Perth to Bali return with Air Asia over the Christmas/New Year period. I had 3 seats to myself on the way to Bali which was great as it was a 4am flight, I would have really appreciated a blanket though! Coming home we were quite delayed and they never told us any reason for that which was annoying. Didn’t eat any food but the prices looked reasonable. For a low cost airline it is overall not too bad

I flew from Perth to Bali over the New Year period with Air Asia. Our tickets were approx. $1100 for 2 pax. I thought the staff were very friendly. I had a pre ordered meal and I thought for $4 it was pretty tasty! Seats are pretty tight eg not much leg room, but I would expect that on a budget carrier. The only down side to flight was the airline carried out its own bag check when boarding at Denpassar, even though my bag had just gone through the xray machine for the 2nd time! I thought this was a little excessive and I was not happy with someone rummaging around in my handbag. Overall I was happy with everything and felt I got what I paid for

Recently flew to Bali on AirAsia. Pre purchasing food online meant we got the meal of our choice and it was actually ok if you don’t have high standards. Return flights with food and baggage at peak season came in at $550 return which I thought was excellent value for money. The cabin was clean though the advertising on every overhead locker and the jeans and polo shirt wearing cabin crew made me feel like I was really travelling on a budget airline. To my surprise safety standards and checks were adhered to very strictly
