Airbus A320 Denpasar to Jakarta. Take off was about 1 hour late but so were heaps of other flights. Food was pretty OK, & AirAsia have their own nice new terminal in Jakarta. Then flew Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur and this was just slightly behind scheduled take off, again food was OK. Flight landed in AirAsia’s own terminal in KL. From KL to Singapore again with AirAsia. All flights quite comfortable for the price paid & less than 3 hours per flight. Big negative is with the AirAsia terminals you cannot bring liquids through the security checks, and there is no tap or water fountain to fill your empty water bottles. So you have to buy expensive small 250ml water from the inflight service.

I have travelled with Air Asia 3 times to Bali from Perth and have been very happy every single time I have travelled with them. The food is really tasty and great prices. The seats are a little bit small but so are most airlines seats. The staff were very friendly and always fulfilled each request with a smile. I would fly Air Asia over any other airline 🙂

Flew Perth to Bali, it was a good value budget airline with no frills but polite and friendly staff, the seats were not spacious but adequate. As it was a short flight i did not have any food on board and reading magazines/books was ok for entertainment however if the flight was any longer a movie would be nice. I would fly with them again on short distance flights.

We recently flew home from Bali to Perth with Air Asia. Other than the total confusion at the gate (3 airlines sharing the one area) I was impressed with the airline. Having flown Jet Star to Bali, I was pleasantly surprised with Air Asia. The seats were comfortable, although still with very little leg room. We had exit seats, and I was pleased to be given strict safety instructions from the staff for the use of these seats. I felt the denim jeans worn by staff were slightly unprofessional; however, the staff were extremely pleasant and very attentive. There was no in flight entertainment and I thought maybe the facility to hire iPads for movies would have been great. The food ordered was good value for money and very pleasant. The flights were very good value ($470 for two). I would definitely fly Air Asia again and would recommend them to others.

Took the family and extended family to Bali for Chrissie Hols, we flew Air Asia due to price point and we had heard some harsh reports re seat comfort unfounded and we were bit surprised that it was ok, the whole trip 9 of us flew up, check in, flight on time, food was reasonably priced, portions sizes were a bit small, but seriously what do you expect when people pay cheaply, but what 1st class?? Staff were courteous, in fact one attendant gave us the funniest safety announcement we have ever heard and I have heard some good ones before. It worked it got out attention(pet peeve is people not taking 3mins out to listen/look at something that could save their life). Would I fly with them again, yes I would I fly with them if I could get a full service flight on another airline for a little more.
