air asia is what it is,a budjet carrier.I have found them to be professional reliable and friendly. I have travelled with them at least a dozen times in the last eighteen months and have never had a problem.

Airline sucks, cancelled our flights from Bali to Perth due to Apec while we were still in Bali. Other airlines rescheduled but Airasia just cancelled and left us stranded with a 12 month old baby. I needed to get back to Perth to my new job and so had no choice but to pay $1,100 to fly with Jetstar. I also lost 2 days accomodation as I had to fly home early due to work.

Flew from Perth to Bali on Air Asia Indonesia on 19th September.
It is a great Airline for Families travelling on a budget, $150 each include taxes and 20kg of Luggage.
Not much legroom being 6ft but it is only a 3 hour flight and think of it as public transport in the sky, it gets you there and you save some money.

Staff are very friendly and helpful also.

    Bali – Perth Airbus A320
after paying almost the equivalant of an extra airfare for the “red carpet lounge” we received our boarding passes.

2 adults 1 child 6 years 1 child 2 years – all seated separately mum in the front, 6 year old 10 rows behind mum, dad another 8 rows and the 2 year old seated by himself another 12 rows behind dad in second last row of plane.

Air asia staff did not care and kept saying the crew will fix it when you board. The crew said they would fix it after takeoff but we had to be in our seats for takeoff (imagine a 2 year old by himself at takeoff surrounded by strangers!!! really)
the crew didnt fix it or even offer. we were ignored and had to sort it out ourselves with both kids crying.

on the way over to bali we were told to move as we had a child in an exit row!

Great way to end our Holiday Air Asia – never again
