    Flight from Johannesburg to Mauritius was pretty good. However the flight from Mauritius to Perth was terrible. There were no air vents on the plane making it hot and stuffy. The passenger behind me was sick into the back of my seat resulting in a further passenger two seats over to be ill. The crew seemed untrained to handle this situation and it took some considerable amount of time to clean the area up resulting in my having to go and stand in the kitchen area outside business class for around 40 minutes in flight.

    Flight from Perth to Mauritius , return. We made it there and back, and the flights were roughly on time…if that is what you expect of a flight then you will be satisfied. Apart from that, the booking system is cumbersome and unreliable, the aircraft old ,run down and dirty, exceptionally uncomfortable seating…even in business class and staff that were indifferent to passengers ( although on the return flight there was one steward who was very good and took his job seriously).
    If you have no choice, as is the case on this route for us, then I guess you have to just sit back and take it. But it is far from a pleasurable experince.

    I am an Indian vegetarian person who traveled in Business Class ticket of Air Mauritius Flight No. MR 748 from Mauritius to Bombay on July 7th,2016 with my wife and 2 children of age 3 yrs and 6 yrs . The flight was a 8 hour flight from 9.20pm to 5:00am and thus i reached mauritius airport at 7pm only.
    It is relevant to mention that after the boarding pass was issued and while we were waiting in the lounge an announcement was made for me to report at the counter and give the passenger details and our food preference pursuant to which the lounge executive confirmed and took the relevant details from me.

    It was shocking to note that despite paying such hefty amount of Rs.64,000 for a single business class ticket and taking prior food preference we were provided with meager or rather no food for dinner. The flight provided several options for a non vegetarian but hardly anything for a vegetarian. The entire night we starved for food but despite our request, the crew members could not help us in any way.
    It feels pathetic that having paid so much and having booked a Business class ticket, which normally provides variety of meal options we were provided with nothing at all.

    We flew direct to Mauritius in late June and were impressed with the cabin service, the food and drinks,the in-flight Pilot commentary and the cabin staff. Check-in was easy and friendly in both directions. The let-down for us was the poor quality of the seating and lack of legroom(pitch) between rows in economy. If you are tall then the exit rows are the place to be. The aircraft in use need an urgent seating upgrade if this otherwise good airline is to improve its standing and popularity. More legroom please and perhaps a small child-free super economy section.

    I was disgusted when on an air mauritius flight. I had found a cockroache on my seat!!!!! does air mauritius not clean its aircraft? They tell you to declare everything you bought such as flowers and plants yet you can’t even keep your aircraft clean!!!! The food is also really bad and the entertainment system stopped working after about an hour and that happened on both flights
