If you fly with this airlines you may have a long delay and no help from them at the airport. I flew from Charlotte N.C. to London via Toronto, and due to a delay in Charlotte all they did in Toronto was give me a phone number to call if I wanted a hotel. No food no water nothing for 9 hours until the next flight. I did have flight insurance but they refused to pay due to I didn’t have the times in writing/e-mail in 12 hours. I used ASAP Tickets for booking, I won’t do again, or get insurance when traveling overseas. There is no time to comply with the rules so all they do is take your money. Buyer Beware!!!

Without a doubt, the worst airline I have ever flown with! I flew from Brisbane to Vancouver overnight. A meal was supplied within the first hour of boarding the plane (keeping in mind this is a 13 hour flight) it was then 6 hours before a snack came, it was a small bread roll with a slither of chicken on it. The next meal did not arrive for a further 5 hours. I am aware lots of people sleep during this time however I surely could not as I was starving and I am a small girl. The staff were friendly however the plane itself was shocking. Small seats, very minimal inflight entertainment and you are not allowed to use your own headphones for take off and landing which I have never had with any other airline. Would never fly Air Canada again.

My father is currently trying to get back to Ireland, his home, for a family wedding, unfortunately due to laws in Canada he is required to have a Visa to fly into Toronto, and was not informed of this at time of booking. He was able to get approved for the Visa but because of last minute knowledge he missed his originally scheduled flight and now is at Minneapolis/St. Paul international airport with no flight and no help. Air Canada is blaming the booking agent and the booking agent is blaming air Canada, mind you if he is unable to get on another flight he will be out the $1100 for the flight, because so far, no one is willing to step up and help him get home to see his family that he may only see once a year. Very disappointed that companies are willing to take the hard earned money of people but unwilling to step up and help out when a mistake occurs.

I was told my flight was cancelled when I went to check in at London, Ont airport. I had a connecting flight in Toronto. They suggested I either drive to Toronto that evening or spend the night. I did not get my money back. I had my husband drive me to Toronto. I barely made it, they were closing the gate. My flight from Toronto to my destination was nice, I have no complaints there. Air Canada has nice planes and staff because they make their money from cancelling people’s flights.

I flew business class from London Heathrow to Toronto business class the experience was awful. The chief steward told me they had run out of meals and so I would not receive one – this is on a long haul flight in business class! The steward was rude and unapologetic and found the whole thing amusing. I have received no compensation or apology from Air Canada give this airline a miss.
