Recently I used virgin with my family (3A+1C) for a flight Sydney-Darwin-SIngapore-Dhaka and then back via Dhaka-Singapore-Brisbane-Sydney. I liked the leather seats in all virgin aircrafts. However, I found the following to be disturbing:
    1. I usually check in online to avoid the queue and to have preferred seats. Though I had a single booking for the whole trip, virgin didn’t allow me to check in online, neither it did allow me to select seats for all the legs. I could only select seats for the domestic Australian legs, which was the minor part of the travel.
    2. We had 30 kg luggage allowance for each passenger throughout, and I carefully weighed all 5 of our check-in luggages to add to 118kg (2 kg less than our total allwoance) with both a digital luggage scale and an old style analog one. At the Sydney terminal it added to 130kg. I was informed at Darwin that my luggage is 125kg. At Changi, Singapore I found the luggage to be same as I found, ie, 118Kg which confused me. On return, my luggage were 110kg at home and also at Dhaka airport. At Brisbane they weighed it again to find 120kg. There are certainly issues with all virgin terminal scales requriing a review.
