Vietnam Airlines review by Michael 2016-06-10

Melb – HCM – Paris return.
Pre-flight: The availability of online check-in would have been a great help. The check-in at airport made up for it and was fast and smooth. Boarding gate information changed a number of times and had to “rush” from gate to gate.
Flight: Smooth flight with reasonable IFE and meals. Helpful attendants making pleasant flight. Comfortable leg room and flights were mostly on time.
Layover in HCM City : Not the most pleasant experience. VN needs to work on the slightly better ground arrangements for passengers that accepts a 15 hours layover. Whilst we knew the length of the layover, we were unprepared for the minimal availability of facilities at the airport. Ground staff not very helpful.The Daisy Lounge could do with some improvements with passengers allowed to purchase food above the allocated soft drink, 1 meal and a dessert. The canteen style layout and service negates the higher level of service provided during flights and is of a very low standard. Providing some recliners in the lounge would help with the long layover.
Overall, I would fly with VN again but NEVER with a layover in HCM City.
