Flying with United has been a nightmare! NEVER AGAIN! We boarded a connecting flight from Atlanta, Georgia that was to land in Newark, NJ before heading to our final destination of Athens. Greece. The flight delayed majorly to NJ claiming bad weather. When we finally landed in NJ, after detouring to Virginia to”gas up ,” there was beautiful weather. Then a United rep found us the next flight to Greece with a stop over in London. She connected our luggage, gave us our tickets and we were on our way. Only to find out upon arriving in London she never actually booked our connecting flight to Athens, so instead of an hour lay over it became a 4- hour lay over. Everyone in London at United are pointing fingers at each other and rolling their eyes, very helpful and professional. There way of compensating was 11£ vouchers for each of us. Needless to say, United has turned a relaxing family trip to the trip from hell!
