Thomas Cook Airlines (UK) review by David 2013-07-12

I had booked a holiday through another travel company which was using Thomas Cook for its flight to Turkey. When I arrived at the airport (about 3 hours before the flight took off) I was told there were no seats with extra legroom. The advertised legroom was 28 inches. I am 6ft 4in tall and I could not get my legs into the seat. I had one leg stuck in the corridoor and the other leg stuck sideways into the adjacent passenger. I had to stand up for every trolley that went past. The stewardesses didn’t seem suprised and acted although this was a normal practice. Four hours of agony!
The flight was on the 4th March 2013 to Antalya. I think it was flight TCX1582.
I was lucky on the return flight. I managed to pay extra for a Medical Seat which had a few inches more legroom.
In the ‘old days’ seats with extra legroom were given to people who needed them. Now they are given to people who pay for them.
I don’t think that I will ever travel with Thomas Cook again.
