We flew from Baltimore to Guatemala through Fort Lauderdale. As others have said the plane is very cramped and uncomfortable. It is also dirty with flight attendants who seem quite unhappy with their jobs. On our return flight we waited 5.5 hrs because the plane was 3hrs late. We were told it was a security issue. We missed our connection in Fort Lauderdale as a result. The Spirit employees, although very polite, offered NO assistance to us. We were given a ticket for a flight the next day! We did not have cell phones and no idea about where to stay. We had to return to the airport by 5am the next day for our 7am flight. The next day on our fight, a woman acted out because there was “poop” on the seat next to her and she wanted it cleaned up. She was basically ignored and then lost her temper. She and her disabled companion were removed from the plane. All the while we knew snow was coming to Baltimore and just wanted to get home before the flights were cancelled! I would gladly pay more than deal with all of this. Many others we spoke with also expressed dissatisfaction with their experience. Finally, there is no way to contact the airline!
