I have never been treated as poorly as I was last Monday. My flight from West Palm Beach Mon Mar 28th at 12:15PM was cancelled de to mechanical issues. I called and was told “to make any changes I must go to the airport, and Spirit would either get me on another flight today or another airline” which I found out Spirit does never does, so they told me something Spirit does not do!. Once at the airport Spirit desk I was informed “there are no more flights today; we can book you out of Fort Lauderdale TOMORROW, or give you a refund. We’ll give you a $50.00 credit on your next flight for your inconvenience”. I took the refund of $240. Lesson well learned, I will NEVER fly Spirit airlines again and will go well out of my way to warn as many people as I possibly can NEVER to book a flight with Spirit. It cost me an additional $800.00 to fly back to Boston the following day. Expenses included a rental car; Hotel room; Meals; additional expense to book a one way Jet Blue flight.
