Recently concluded a trip from FLL to CPH. We have used Norwegian before but I can tell you this was the LAST time. They have always had a tough time leaving on time and spotty customer service. But the flights were cheap and they were on the brand new 787 Dreamliner. They have now started leasing certain routes to a company called Hy Fly based in Portugal. This company flys beat up old Airbus A330. You still book thru Norwegian, you still think you are flying on the 787, and they never send you a message telling you different. You get to find out at the airport. Many passengers complained, but it is too bad.

Those cool video monitors they show on the Norweigian site, they don’t have those on Hy Fly. On our outbound flight it had two movies. On the return, several weeks later, same two movies. But since the videos displays did not work on the return I guess it didn’t matter. On return, the crews credit card machines were also not working. No one was told of this until in route on a 11+ hour flight. Because of this they would only take cash, US$ to be exact. On a flight that originated from Denmark? Really? So if you didn’t have Us$ you could not even get water on an 11 hour flight. I tried talking to the flight attendant, including the head attendant and was told they were not making any exceptions.

Norwegian has lost me as a customer. I will pay a little more, and maybe not get a direct flight, but I will never fly them again. They are ok in Europe, but look at the reviews between the States / Europe. You have been Warned.
