    Most awful customer service at check-in counter at Jakarta Soekarno Hatta airport
    Encountered a very unfriendly female customer service with no smile at Garuda Indonesia check-in counter at Jakarta airport! Previously I had already booked, paid for, and confirmed my flight and seats for 4 pax online at www.garuda-indonesia.com. When I checked in at the Jakarta airport on 17 April 2014 for my flight to Lombok with GA430, the lady seems confused and told me that we all had to sit separately and there are no seats for us to be sitting together. But I said I had already paid for and confirmed my seats online. She couldn’t seem to find my booking nor get us seats together. She keeps asking her neighbors about my reservation confirmation print-out letter, before leaving her station to talk to her boss. After what took like forever, with the help of my husband talking to the supervisor, we got the emergency seats sitting together on the same row! So much for no seats for us to be sitting together! Talk about a mood-spoiler being held up 20mins just to check in for my flight! Only with Garuda will you experience a rough check-in like I did!
    Food on board: they ran out of fish with potatoes so we were served beef with rice. Rice was very hard, almost inedible, don’t know how they can serve this type of food which I believe have been held for months.
    Customer service on board: good; very friendly with smile.
    Much improvement needed on good attitude towards customers!

    Recommendations: Improve cleanliness of toilets in airport and lounges with the provision of adequate tissue paper. Need more shops, cafes and restaurants. Take the neighbouring country Singapore for example; best airport in the world, carpeted floors, etc.
