Frontier Airlines review by Ben 2014-01-09

Frontier is one of the worst airlines we have experienced. We arrived in a rush at the service counter in Denver to check bags 40 mins before departure (5 mins late), due to severe and unannounced tunnel construction delay on I-70. We had already checked in online at our hotel earlier today, but were not able to print out boarding passes, but we had PDF copies on our smart phones. The counter service agent refused to check our bags saying we were late. Their website states that we needed to be checked in by 45 mins before flight, which we were. We were forced to spend the night at a hotel at our expense, even though we were physically at the airport in plenty of time to actually board. There was no one in line at the counter, and a short security line. I missed two important meetings. This is our first experience with Frontier, and hopefully the last. This has cost us $100 flight change fee, plus $130 hotel. The most frustrating thing is that we could have easily boarded the plane with half an hour to spare! The counter staff idly stood by watching us miss our flight, with absolutely no willingness to help us in any way. They are also in the 20th century as far as technology is concerned. They do not have electronic boarding passes, and they do not participate in the TSA Pre program.
