Fiji Airways review by Blake 2013-02-14

My wife and I went to Fiji for 2 weeks for our Honeymoon and decided to treat ourselves to Business Class on Air Pacific ($1,300 return each from Brisbane to Nadi via Sydney). The first leg (Brisbane – Sydney) was on Qantas and felt like just another flight, crew were happy to help but nothing out of the ordinary.

After leaving the International Business Lounge at Sydney airport we had priority boarding at the gate for our 747 jumbo – I’m sure the planes are over 20 years old but the cabin features were not out-dated. We were greeted at the door by the incredibly warm cabin crew and a glass of champagne once we took our seats.

The inflight entertainment was good, not like Qantas with Video on Demand but we were not expecting that. The seats were very comfortable but not the flat beds you come to expect (which we weren’t) on large international jets. The in flight meals were a mix of traditional Fijian and Western food, all very nice and our champagne glasses were never empty.

On arrival into Nadi the crew wished us farewell and looked forward to seeing us on our return journey, something we all hear when we get to our destination but very rarely said with sincerity like the Air Pacific crew. 10/10.
