I have flown from Auckland to the US, Europe, Australia, Pacific Islands with air nz and can’t fault them on customer service. The crew are always friendly, will bend over backwards to help and nothing seems a problem. The food is good and everything seems to run so efficiently.
It may cost me a little more to fly air nz sometimes but it’s always worth it to know exactly what I’m getting and to know that I’m getting top notch! My only gripe is I tried out the sky couch last year coming back from LAX and it’s nothing like the picture, not comfy or spacious for a grown person to lie down. I wouldn’t recommend this option.
