    There were two distressing aspects of my experience with Air New Zealand. My husband and I always loved traveling with them and in fact, this time he insisted that he would only travel with ANZ! Two problems besides the usual cramped seating:
    ANZ took away the seats I booked 4 months in advance and did not inform us.
    ANZ refused to give me credit for the miles flown on the return flight (which was just as long as the outgoing flight!) because they said that leg was discounted and the outgoing leg was more expensive! The whole trip was more expensive than if I had not booked through Air New Zealand. Miles are miles–this whole new system seems to be penny-pinching wile ignoring customers’ loyalty.
