    Entertainment-ok
    Recommended- NEVER

We flew JFK-DEL-JFK in May 2014 with a 10 month old infant.
Partial journey from JFK to Del was ok, however in DEL-JFK route, AI ground staff was horrible.
Although an infant basinet was requested from the get-go and we were at the terminal 3 hours before the boarding time, Staff at the Del Airport was rude and flatly answered no basinets available.
On duty staff didn’t know who to escalate issue to find out an answer, they directed us from counter to counter.
Even though the duty in charge was tapped and a direct phone call from a DGCA colleague was made Ms. Incompetent Smriti paul replied with the same answer nothing can be done.
She didn’t even bothered to look herself and keep on replying with the same answer. We were near the counters for 90 minutes trying to get a basinet with no success.

Surprisingly, when we entered the plane and found that there were 8 basinet locations and only 2 basinets were hooked up and remaining basinet assigned seats were allotted to regular people, families with no kids or someone with an approach. We were shocked and directly requested few people occupying those seats to exchange with us but now one buzzed.
We had hard time travelling in those 15 hours with our infant child.
We found at least 2 other kids facing the similar dilemma and going through the sufferings due to incompetent ground staff.
We did file a complaint in the plane and mentioned names of the ground staff, but no follow up actions or issued statement was ever released to us.
We have alerted all family in US, UK & Canada not to travel ever in Air India.
