    Flew direct Air Canada Sydney to Vancouver return trip. Air Canada was 1 hr late for boarding, while waiting I was very attentive the whole time. Once I went to board the attendant told me that my seat which I had pre-paid for was given away. Apparently they had called me over the PA system several times (which they didn’t, I once heard something vaguely like my first name, without a last name so I figured it was not me). After telling them that I had pre-paid for the seat, and asking where they had placed me, the staff got extremely moody and blamed me for not showing up earlier when “they called my name. If someone pre-pays for a ticket, has checked in, and has not given the OK to have their pre-paid seat for a 15 hr flight given away, why would you expect them to be happy when you tell them they’ve been moved? Instead of being apologetic they became hostile. Unacceptable. Once seated attendants were rude and grouchy, not just to myself but to everyone, my aisle mates had a few nervous laughs, the older staff were treating everyone like children, including grown men. Giving Canadians a bad name, not nice or friendly. Fly Qantas if you can
