Have Your Say

I fly Malaysia Airlines quite frequently, and rank them as continually ‘top two’ between Perth and Paris or London.
I always use the Flight Tracking screen on the inflight entertainment menu, just to see what I am flying over and how long to go until arrival.
Could anyone please advise me if that flight tracking is dependent on the plane’s Transponder, in which case any of the passengers might have noticed that the service was unavailable, or their plane was not showing up on the world map as it usually would have?

great question! The map actually works off the planes GPS so they would have known they were heading the other way
