With regard to the Qantas order for 787-9s, it will be interesting to see if Qantas follows what seems to be the current trend of more and more luxury up front, and more squeezing of economy passengers down the back. I believe the 787 was designed for 8 abreast seating in economy, but many airlines are configuring them with 9 abreast. Fair enough if it’s a low cost airline like Jetstar (who I will never fly with again) but we should expect better from Qantas.
