June and July last flew around the world with 7 different airlines. My rankings from worst to best as follows:
Number 7 Ryanair by a fair margin, Stansted to Rome. So called business plus turned out to be a seat at the front, nil leg room. Prior to flight made to cue up on stairs then Tarmac. It’s like flying on a coffin.
Number 5 Lufthansa Toronto to London. Cabin crew grumpy and nil service. Probably down to the fact that there are insufficient staff for long flight. I was unfortunate to get sitting next to 2 passengers who could not speak a word of English or German. Cabin crew avoided them hence they also avoided me.
Number 5 Quantas Sydney to Hawaii. Main problem is cabin crew too old too grumpy. They are obviously more interested in redundancy retirement. The sooner the better.
Number 4 United Airlines Las Vegas to Toronto. Very slow check in, airline wants you be put past a check in computer. I am not a machine, so they spend more time trying to show me how to work the system which I refuse to take part in. All luggage checked and paid additional cost, annoying.
Number 3 sorry Singapore Airlines. Mumbai to Sydney via singarpore. . Flown this airline many times. Would have to say they have gone down a few notches, however, Singarpore airport is a pleasure.
Number 2 Hawaii Air, Honolulu to Las Vegas. Wonderful young happy crew unlike Quantas. Great meal, p,wasn’t flight. Downside, Honolulu airport got to be be the worst around, takes ages to check in.
Number 1 Swiss Air, Rome to Singapore. What a surprise. Cannot fault, great food, great service and wonderful long flight.
