I have just returned home from Flying Singapore Airlines/Silkair through Asia and returning home to Perth via Singapore. The amount of hand luggage they allowed on board was incredible. There are signs and announcements everywhere saying one bag of seven kilos but half the plane would have exceeded this with some passengers having up to four bags they could hardly carry. I travel a lot and this is an ongoing problem.
