Have Your Say

Who effectively pays for frequent-flyer points? Surely someone somewhere along the line has to pick up the tab. Does the airline claim them on tax as an advertising expense? Or is the cost absorbed by the company by simply increasing the overall price of all its tickets?

I’m suspicious. I always say “aint’t nuthing in life really free’. These flights cannot be truly free. As with loyalty points offered in any commercial field, some other mug is paying somehow.
