Delta Air Lines

I recently booked a flight with Delta airline to Rome for March 28th. On the day of my flight was canceled. We then was rebooked then again canceled. We were then told the flight were overbooked and then we were sent another airline named ITA, who tried to book us but wasn’t able to. We were finally put on a flight. The entire day was messed up because of all of the delays and cancellations. When we returned home we filed a complaint with Delta in the complaint we addressed all of our concerns and issues. I was told that my case was closed. I was not compensated at all when i know others were. I want everyone know how unjust and unfair Delta airlines has been to me. How can you give one and don’t give the other when we both were on the same flight we sat on the same row went through the exact same thing and others .



Issue 1:
My flight from Atlanta to Northwest Arkansas was extremely uncomfortable. Crammed into a tiny seat next to a large person, with an absurdly short seatbelt, I felt suffocated and had a panic attack. Seeking relief in an empty seat ahead, I found it broken and unusable. The poor seating and lack of attention to detail made this flight horrible.
Issue 2:
Traveling to Italy, I bought the ticket through Delta (but the flight was done with KLM) they lost my checked bag after my Amsterdam connection. Upon arrival, I was told it might come the next day, but it never did, leaving us without clothes until purchasing new outfits. The lost and found provided wrong airline contact information, and it took over an hour for my hotel to reach the right KLM rep about the missing bag.
When I contacted Delta, the airline I booked through, they claimed no responsibility since KLM mishandled my luggage. Both airlines deflected accountability. The luggage loss, lack of communication, and mutual blame-shifting made the KLM/Delta experience a complete debacle. I strongly caution against using these carriers if other affordable options exist to avoid similar frustrating nightmares.

We booked the whole trip over Delta. They partnered with KLM. We received a message that our luggage was on board. In Amsterdam we had to run and wait in line to go through the immigration checkpoint. We just made it to our last connection. In Florence we found out our luggage didn’t. We left our info and received a phone number to contact. Luckily the people at the hotel intermediated. They made several calls, Delta referred to KLM, KLM to Delta. We ended picking it up ourselves.
For the return flights we were unable to select seats for the last leg or enter meal preferences. There was a delay. In Atlanta the immigration is old school, even if you have a USpasport. Long wait. The luggage needed to be picked up and immediately handed over for the connecting flight. Last leg was a disaster. We got seated separately. My husband was next to an oversized gentleman, who was nice and apologetic but in reality needed the 2 seats for himself. In the middle of the flight he was able to switch but that seat was broken, however in the end preferable then being squeezed in.
